The transition company
The FLYOUT Company is designed to support young dancers in the delicate transition between professional training and entering the contemporary dance scene at a professional level. At the end of their studies, it can happen that a dancer does not immediately find the right opportunity to begin their career, leading to periods of inactivity that may make the search for a first professional opportunity even more challenging. VIVO FLYOUT was created to offer these young artists a context in which they can maintain and strengthen their technical and physical condition, continue to grow artistically, and receive practical guidance in the world of auditions, preparing them with greater awareness for the opportunities offered by the professional contemporary dance scene.
Creation of your
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
The first contact with a company or an audition often takes place through the submission of presentation materials: a CV, photographs, and video footage. The quality and coherence of these materials are essential in communicating one’s artistic and professional profile clearly, and can significantly influence the possibility of being noticed.
Within FLYOUT, each participant is supported by a team of professionals in the creation of materials that reflect their artistic identity and respond to the demands of the contemporary dance scene. This process is integrated into the auditioning path, offering artists practical tools to present themselves with awareness, clarity, and professionalism.
PLACEMENTS
for European companies
One of the main objectives of the program is to achieve a "placement" in a European company in partnership with VIVO CENTER. The placement, of varying duration, will involve the active involvement of the participant in the activities of the host company, which may offer the participant an employment contract at the end of the placement.

The Structure of the FLYOUT

TRANSITION COMPANY
The FLYOUT Company is composed of 10 dancers. Generally, two of them form the stable core of the company and also support the artistic direction, while the other eight take part in the project for variable periods, ranging from 3 to 9 months.
All activities take place in the centre’s studios in Rome and are conducted in English, creating an international environment open to exchange between different artistic experiences.
The company’s work focuses on choreographic creation and on hosting artistic residencies, inviting both emerging European choreographers and internationally established artists. At the heart of the project is a constant research into experimentation, stylistic variation, and the evolution of contemporary dance language, with the aim of keeping the work current and in dialogue with the most active trends in the choreographic scene.
The productions developed within FLYOUT are generally presented publicly for the first time in December, March, and June.
